Thank you for your interest in the Alpha Alpha Omega (AAO) Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. AAO is a sisterhood that Encourages, Empowers, and Elevates.
In April of 1927, the Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was organized in Pittsburgh, PA. The chapter was chartered at the Centre Avenue YMCA by Norma E. Boyd. We are proud and humble to have provided our service to the Pittsburgh community for over 93 years. The chapter is also proud of its leadership and mentoring to six undergraduate chapters. As president of Alpha Alpha Omega, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to our website. Alpha Alpha Omega has an active membership of over 170 that is dedicated to continuing its positive impact on the Pittsburgh community in the areas of Historical Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) for Life: A Call to Action, Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts, and Global Impact. Our International President, Dr. Glenda Glover, has chosen the platform of Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service and AAO takes that very seriously because service is what we provide; it is the heart of our organization.
We hope you will visit our website for updated information regarding Alpha Alpha Omega’s upcoming community programs and other events.
